Security and risk

Hypurr Desk has no trading server, holds no funds and never sees your wallet's keys. What remains is your browser, the trading key in it, and the risk of trading perpetuals.

What runs where

The site is static files. In your browser, the page talks directly to:

• Hyperliquid's API and websocket, for prices, your account and orders;
• the exchange's status page, for maintenance notices;
• public Arbitrum and HyperEVM nodes and Circle's API, only for deposits and withdrawals;
• MetaMask's or Coinbase's relay, only while pairing a phone wallet.

Coin icons load from the exchange's site. There is no analytics or tracking. The only thing sent to a Hypurr Desk server is the text you type into Ideas, and it never includes your keys, orders or wallet address.

Your keys

Your wallet's own key never leaves the wallet. The trading key that signs orders is created in this browser and stored in its local storage. It can trade but cannot withdraw or transfer, and it expires after 180 days.

• The site sends a strict content security policy, so scripts injected into the page are blocked, and it refuses to run inside a frame on another site.
• Keep your browser and extensions up to date, and only install extensions you trust: they can read pages you open.
• On a shared computer, remove the key in Settings → Account → API wallet when you are done.
• A phone link's QR code holds a trading key for the phone. Show it only to scan it, and use Unlink in Settings → Account → Phone if a phone is lost or the code was seen by someone else.

Trading risk

Perpetual futures use leverage. A position can lose its whole margin, and quickly.

• Stops are market orders. In a fast or gapping market they fill at the next available price, which can be well past the stop.
• Isolated positions can be liquidated before the stop if the stop sits beyond the liquidation price; the desk refuses such stops, but prices can still move past both.
• Funding is paid or received every hour and is not part of the stop's loss.
• Open risk, execution and funding figures in the ticket are estimates, not guarantees.
