Ideas turns a view on the world into a small portfolio. Type what you think will happen, such as "The Bank of Japan raises rates and the yen surges", and the desk suggests a handful of markets that would gain if you are right, shows how that mix did over the last 90 days, and can place it as one set of market orders. Ideas is part of Advanced mode.
Opening Ideas
Click Ideas in the top bar. On a phone it is in the Account view, above Referrals.
Building a portfolio
- Type your idea in plain words, from 8 to 300 characters, or pick one of the examples. Any language works; the answer comes back in the same language.
- Press Build portfolio or Enter. It usually takes 10 to 30 seconds.
- If the message isn't a view on markets, or is too vague ("crypto up"), you get one question back with a few answers to pick from. Picking one builds the portfolio.
A portfolio has 2 to 4 themes, each with 1 to 3 markets, at most 8 in all, and up to 20% kept in cash. Each market is a Long (it gains when the price rises) or a Short (it gains when the price falls), with one line on why it fits. Proven wrong if says what would show the idea is wrong.
Only liquid markets are used: at least $1 million traded a day and $250,000 open interest, one listing per market. New markets join on their own. A coin the desk knows nothing about yet is used only when you name its ticker. The suggestions are made by AI and can be wrong. Check every holding before you place it.
The 90-day replay
The chart shows how the mix would have done over the last 90 complete days at real daily closing prices, against the S&P 500 and Bitcoin. The tiles show the result, the benchmark and the worst drop from a high along the way.
- The mix goes back to its target weights every day.
- Trading fees to enter and to leave are included. Funding and the small trades of the daily rebalance are not.
- A market listed after the start keeps its share in cash until its first day, and a note says so.
- Each holding shows its market's own move over the replay, green when it helped the position and red when it hurt.
A replay is a look back, not a prediction and not advice.
Placing it
- Enter an Amount in USDC, or pick 10%, 25%, 50% or Max of what your free balance can carry.
- Pick a Leverage from 1× to 5×. Every holding keeps its planned share of the positions. A market with a lower maximum uses its maximum and takes a little more margin to keep its share, so the basket's overall leverage comes out a bit lower; the page shows it. A market you already hold keeps the leverage of that position.
- Check the list: each holding is one market order with its own margin (isolated), sized by its share of the amount. The cash share stays unused.
- Press Place, check the summary and confirm.
Just before sending, the page reads your positions again; if one of the markets now points the other way, nothing is sent. The orders go out one after another, so prices can move between them. If one is refused, or fills only partly, the rest are not sent and the page says what was placed, with Close what was placed: it closes only the size these orders opened, so a position you held before keeps the rest. If the exchange doesn't answer an order, the page stops and asks you to check your positions first, because that order may have filled.
A basket can't be placed while:
- any holding would be under the exchange's $10 minimum (the page shows the smallest amount that works);
- you hold a position in the other direction on one of its markets: close it, or press Skip on that holding. Skipped holdings are left out and the others are scaled up so the same amount stays invested; Include again brings them back. A position in the same direction is added to and keeps its leverage;
- a market has waiting orders while their leverage is being checked. A holding on such a market uses the same leverage and margin mode as those orders, since the exchange keeps one setting per market;
- there isn't enough free balance (the page says so and offers Deposit);
- the daily loss limit, the Terms or the builder fee would block any other order.
Limits and privacy
Each visitor can build a limited number of new portfolios a day, and at most a few a minute. Building the same idea again within a day gives the same answer at once and doesn't count.
The text you type goes to the Hypurr Desk server to build the portfolio; your keys, orders and wallet address never do. Don't type personal details. Your recent ideas and the price history used for replays stay in this browser. See the Privacy Policy.
