The chart

The chart shows your orders as lines you can drag, your closed trades as dots, and the order you are building as dotted lines.

Dragging orders

Stops, take profits and resting entry orders are lines on the chart. Grab a line, its label or its price on the axis and drag it; when you let go, the desk asks you to confirm the new price (with the P&L there) before the order moves. Esc during a drag, or Cancel, puts it back. To skip the question, turn off Confirm chart moves in Settings → Trading. The × on a stop's label removes it.

  • Moving a stop places the new one before cancelling the old one.
  • The exchange cannot edit an entry order that carries a stop and target, so moving an entry cancels it and places it again. If the cancel fails, for example because it just filled, nothing is replaced.
  • With keep risk on, moving an entry or its stop resizes the order so the loss at the stop stays the same.

Building an order on the chart

The order in the ticket draws dotted "New" lines: entry, stop, targets and the trailing stop's start. Drag one and the ticket updates and re-sizes as you go. While a price field in the ticket has focus, a click on the chart fills in the price under the pointer. Nothing is sent until you press the order button.

Closed trades

Each closed trade in the chart's market shows a hollow dot at the entry, a filled dot at the exit and a dashed line between them, green for a win and red for a loss. Hover a dot for the side, size, prices, P&L and how long it was held. The Trades button in the toolbar hides them.

  • Prices fit the visible candles. Drag the price axis to zoom it; A fits it again and L switches to a log scale.
  • A line outside the visible range pins its price to the top or bottom of the axis with an arrow. Click it to bring the line into view.
  • The liquidation price shows as a toolbar button with its distance from the mark; a click fits the chart to include it.
  • After panning back in time, an arrow button returns to the latest candle.
  • Double-click the chart to reset the view. Timeframes run from 1 minute to 1 day.

On a touch screen, one finger pans, two fingers pinch the time axis, and a double tap resets the view. Stop, target and order lines can't be dragged by a finger, so panning or zooming never moves an order; use the positions and the ticket to change them. Alert lines still drag.

Indicators

EMA 20 and the daily VWAP are on by default. The Indicators menu adds:

  • Price: EMA 9 and 50 (any period from 2 to 500), VWAP bands, an anchored VWAP from a candle you click, Bollinger Bands, UTC day and week levels, and a volume profile of the visible range.
  • Momentum and volatility: ATR (14), RSI (14) and relative volume. With ATR on, the stop field also shows the stop distance in ATRs.
  • Perpetuals: funding history, open interest and cumulative volume delta for the current session.

Price alerts

The Alert button sets an alert just above the price; drag its amber line to where you want it. Alerts fire while a page of the desk is open. See Alerts.
