Deposits and withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals move USDC between your wallet and your trading account through Circle, the issuer of USDC. Your wallet signs each one; the trading key cannot.

Starting with an empty wallet? In Simple mode the deposit button reads Add money. Its guide shows how to buy USDC and a little ETH in your wallet, or how to send USDC from an exchange on Arbitrum One, watches your wallet, and starts the deposit with the amount filled in once the money arrives.

Deposit from Arbitrum

Click Deposit in the top bar or the account panel. The wallet switches to Arbitrum, signs a USDC authorization and sends one transaction, so it needs a little ETH on Arbitrum for gas.

  • Circle keeps a flat forwarding fee, 0.20 USDC at the time of writing. The desk reads the current fee before every deposit and sends nothing if it cannot.
  • The transaction is simulated before your wallet is asked to send it.
  • The deposit usually arrives within a minute. A notice tells you when it has, even if you closed the dialog.
  • There is no minimum beyond the fee.

Deposit from HyperEVM

Switch the deposit dialog's source to HyperEVM to deposit USDC your wallet already holds there. It is credited at once, with no Circle fee; gas is paid in HYPE.

Withdraw to Arbitrum

Click Withdraw in the account panel. One gasless signature sends USDC to your own wallet address on Arbitrum. Circle's forwarding fee (0.20 USDC at the time of writing) is read before you confirm. You can withdraw up to the withdrawable balance; a standard account holding spot USDC can choose Perps or Spot as the source.

Withdraw to HyperEVM

Switch the destination to HyperEVM to receive native USDC on HyperEVM within seconds. Circle takes no fee, but HyperEVM gas is charged in HYPE from your spot balance; the dialog warns when that balance holds no HYPE.

On testnet

Testnet deposits come from Arbitrum Sepolia. Circle only credits testnet deposits to addresses that also have a mainnet account, up to 1,000 USDC.
