What is EigenLayer?
EigenLayer, now called EigenCloud, is a restaking protocol on Ethereum. Users restake ETH and other tokens to secure extra services, such as oracles and data layers, and earn rewards in return. EIGEN is the project's token, used for staking and governance and designed to secure services where faults cannot be proven onchain.
The EIGEN perpetual tracks the price of EigenLayer, settles in USDC and never expires. It trades on Hyperliquid's main exchange. You can go long or short with up to 5× leverage, around the clock.
